With the recognition of being an important commercial pulse of the world, the East Asian origin soya beans are coming into many kitchens around the world today. These white , very ordinary looking members of the bean brigade have very rich chemical properties. The Soyabean is a powerhouse of antioxidants that can delay aging, repel cancer, regulate blood glucose levels, regulate the bowel and relieve constipation, regulate cholesterol and prevent the onset of osteoporosis.
Soyabeans are an excellent source of protein and dietary fibre. Soya beans are packed with energy and promote cardiovascular health too. Soy protein is the only vegetable with a complete protein. That’s why it is called the "meat of the field" or "meat without bones”. A 100 grams of Soyabeans can provide around 36 grams of Protein. They contain all of the essential amino acids and are therefore excellent source of Protein for vegetarians.
You can consume soyabean protein through various soyabean products like soyamilk, soyabean nuggets, soyabean granules, soyabean flour and the whole soyabeans.
